～OM的起源
瑜伽中，對於宇宙的初始有一個說法：在亘古以前，星球中有一些微微的，嗡嗡的聲響，這些聲響來自於物體能量的頻律發出的音波，後來這些音律像滾雪球一樣，愈累積愈大，能量也愈強，於是包括生物在內的很多事物於是誕生(或產生)了，這就是OM。根據《吠陀經》的傳承，「OM」是世上所出現的第一個音，也是嬰兒出生後所發出的第一個音。
瑜伽世界裡，OM絕對不是一個音律那麼簡單，它不但被符號化，更是代表整個瑜伽世界的符號。這就好比我們一想到太極，就會想到那個黑白兩色，黑中有白，白中有黑的圓圖一樣。


瑜伽修行者認為，OM是所有唱頌的Mantra（曼陀羅，咒語)中最有力量也最能撫慰人心的一個。當你心煩氣燥或者靜坐無法靜心時，多在心中或口中吟唱這個OM語音，就能讓煩躁遠離，幫你進入靜坐的境界。
